Princess Janae Place

As you may know, transgender folks face issues like violence, discrimination, homelessness, and poverty at staggeringly disproportionate rates. When trans folks are in need of housing, we are often turned away or face hate and violence while in the shelter system. In the Bronx in NYC, Princess Janae Place is striving to end that by providing a safer space for trans and GNC people to find a home support and comfort from folks in our community.

Volunteers needed for Midnight Run!

Midnight Run is a gathering of volunteers that will come together Dec 22 & go out on the subways & under the highways, to give 100 homeless people perishable items, toiletries, socks, hats, scarves, gloves & coats. Midnight run is a volunteer based group working out of the non profit organization Princess Janae Place in the Bronx. This will be our 1st time as a group going out & giving the items to the homeless. We had our 1st successful walkathon for the homeless, this year 7/1/18. We raised over $600 & walked 5k in Van Courtlandt Park. It was awesome!
